Front Porch Roots Revue comes off a very successful 2014 that saw the acclaimed musical troupe playing dates across Alberta and B.C. Some of the highlights of the year included a three day stop at the Vancouver Island Music Festival in Comox, and sold-out shows at the Dream Cafe in Penticton, Blue Frog Studios in White Rock, and the Ironwood Stage and Grill in Calgary. Whether performing shows of original material and choice covers for festival or theatre audiences, or dipping into the brilliant catalogue of The Band for the Up On Cripple Creek concerts, there is always a positive reaction to Front Porch shows. This annual Festival Place performance will be a combination of the many sides of Front Porch. Crawdad Cantera, Gord Matthews and Ron Rault will bring a few recently recorded blues-based tunes into the mix. Rounding out the troupe is critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Karla Anderson, who will be drawing on songs found on albums like The Embassy Sessions and Brand New Day.
